About Me

Lay Minister, Wife, Mother, Immigrant

Anisabel Palma offers retreat leadership, spiritual direction, and Hispanic ministry consultation in English and Spanish. Her work is grounded in a call to accompaniment and shaped by a deep commitment to the Church’s mission among immigrant communities.

Formed through sustained pastoral engagement and theological study, Anisabel integrates prayer, reflection, and practice in service of the kerygmatic proclamation of the Gospel. For over a decade, she has walked alongside immigrant and Hispanic Catholic communities, as well as pastoral leaders, attending closely to the lived realities that shape faith, leadership, and communal life.

Her ministry unfolds across parish and diocesan settings, retreat and formation spaces, and one-on-one spiritual accompaniment. As a theologian-practitioner, she approaches ministry with care and attentiveness, valuing listening, discernment, and long-term presence over quick solutions. Whether accompanying pastoral teams, forming lay leaders, or offering spiritual direction to individuals and groups, her work seeks to support faith that is rooted, resilient, and responsive to real life.

Anisabel’s pastoral approach is attentive to context, culture, and language, and is marked by respect for the dignity and agency of those she accompanies. She offers retreats, spiritual direction, and consultations as collaborative and discerning processes, shaped by the needs of each community and grounded in the life of the Church.

She is available by request and is open to conversation and shared discernment about how accompaniment might best serve individuals, parishes, or pastoral teams.
